So I'm feeling kind of emotional and vulnerable and depressed right now. Yes, it's going to be one of those posts. You've been warned.
Yesterday was a really good day. Chem II's going really well, got two straight 100's on my last quizzes. Probability's really, really easy so far, but that's going to get interesting when the calculus stuff starts coming in, since it's been so long since I've really done that part. I talked to Jackie before class yesterday, that was really nice. She's got gorgeous eyes (and she knows it). Anyway, she's taking Calc I this semester, she's going to be a math major. Actually wrote my first essay for FA, have to wait and see how it's received.
Got an estimate on my truck yesterday. One thousand, six hundred, and twenty-two dollars and ninety-eight cents. My truck's not worth much more than that. We'll see how the insurance company reacts. The best part is that that's actually a little on the conservative side - that estimate is with having them just fixing the side panel, not replacing it. That number will go up by some amount - I don't know how much - if they have to just replace the entire panel.
So I've been playing Dungeons & Dragons - Tiny Adventures on Facebook, and healed Lilie's character a few times. Admittedly, it's enlightened self-interest - you get a buff for healing other people's characters. Odd dynamic, I think. Whatever. Then she invited me to Blood Lust, which is a weird little vampire game, but it's really integrating advertising tie-ins and recruiting to a new, infuriating level for those of us who look for that kind of thing ("Don't forget to invite daily!") I maxed out as far as I could go without recruiting more friends, so I quit that. But I keep seeing her in my online friends, and I don't even recognize her in the new picture she's got posted on her profile. Anyway, it had me reminiscing a lot. I hate doing that, especially when Lilie's involved. Started getting really depressed, almost to the point of tears. Of course, that left me with only one course of action - went through the list of girls' profiles on my friends list that'll make me super depressed - Chelsea, Lilie, Melissa, Ashley, Beth, those are the ones that come to mind.
Oh! I saw Ashley Hughes yesterday (it was a busy day, apparently) in the music building on my way out. I know she saw me. Not that any of that matters - like most of the girls in my life, they're a much bigger part of my life than I am in theirs. That's probably related to why I have such a hard time letting go of people. But that's another story for another time.
So yeah, went through those, was crying by the end of it. That's something I've done a few times in the past few weeks.
Yeah, that pretty much gets us to where we're at now.

Take the glitz back, I want the soul instead
Five months.
It's been about five months since I've posted. I'll try to catch up with what I've missed.
School:
School's going really well so far. Took those three classes during the Spring semester, got a 4.0. That was pretty neat. The day of Finals was kind of funny. They schedule like 2 hours for each final, and mine were back to back to back. Each final took me around thirty to forty-five minutes to do, giving me between forty-five minutes and an hour to kill between each final, in addition to the half hour break they already build in to the schedule. The obvious answer would be to use that time to review the material and/or study for the next final; the only problem with that, of course, is that I don't like to count on such intangible, unsure variables like that, so I was completely ready for each final. I went to a dining hall and grabbed some breakfast during one break, and I don't recall what I did during the other final. After the last one, I had to walk to work where Mom was picking me up to give me a ride home.
Something had gone crazy wrong with my truck. Ended up dropping quite a bit on new tires, then I had to have the engine remounted and stuff (they did it wrong during the original installation). That was fun. I ended up only taking three hours during summer school, one class during Summer I. Phil 1305, Introduction to Philosophy and Critical Thinking. The class was okay, I guess. Every morning at 8 am, for two hours, Monday through Friday. I ended up late to work quite a few days because of it, which was fun. I pulled a strong A in that class as well, which was really good, 'cause it was a Writing Intensive class, and I hate writing. It seemed like the more outlandish I made my conclusion, the better my grade on the test was. I don't know if it just did a better job of making my point, or my writing just got stronger as the semester went on, or the professor just appreciated someone who could effectively communicate the material and their understanding thereof, while still making their conclusion fun to read. I hope it was the latter, but I'm not counting on it. Whatever.
So I didn't take any classes during Summer II, 'cause of the money I had to drop on my truck. I'm registered for 13 hours, 4 classes and 1 lab, for the Fall. Chem II, Chem II Lab, Prob & Stat, Data Structures, and Intro to Fine Arts. I even got some financial aid for this and the Spring semesters. It's pretty awesome. Class starts in about two weeks. I've got most of my textbooks, bought two textbooks online - ebay and amazon are pretty neat, around half price of what the bookstore wanted, *and* I could flip them back for most of the price. I still have to pick up my Chem book/lab manual at the bookstore; the professor wrote both of them. So that's fun. Got my classes blocked Monday/Wednesday, which works out well. I start at 9:30 both mornings; Monday, I go to 6-something, on Wednesday, I'm out around 3-something. Long days, but I'll be taking both days off work so I don't have to go in that night. I might take the occasional Tuesday night off as well, to give me some time to get some real sleep. Of course, that's all depending on the work situation, which will have to get better before I'm able to do so, but we'll get to that later.
And I'm officially a senior.
So I don't feel like going into work just yet, so I guess I'll go with personal stuff next. I finally started a good diet that I'm comfortable with, and I feel confident that I can stick with it, for the most part. Coupling that with the amounts of exercise I have lined up, I hope, I really hope, that I can finally lose some weight.
Socially, it's just as much of an abyss as always. Didn't talk to anyone in any of my classes over the fall semester, or the one I had in the summer. I ended up sitting behind this semi-cute girl over the summer, didn't really get her name or anything. She was a hippie (Wait. Her parents were hippies. I'm not sure?) from Austin. Anyway.
So still friends with Matt, we work out and/or play racquetball in the mornings when our schedules work out. Haven't talked to Cullen recently, though I hope to remedy that soon. Rose is moving out of her parents place, which is cool, getting a little one bedroom; I'm helping her move (no big surprise there). Haven't made any new friends (except at work, but that gets covered in the work section) lately. Maybe that'll change in the Fall. I doubt it, but whatever.
Work's been interesting. Our new GM is working out really well, he's a really cool guy. We're getting pasta and sandwiches in the next few weeks (Sh! Nobody's allowed to know that!), which means we have to regear a lot of things, and find room for a bunch of new products, and retrain everyone on new stuff. It's going to be somewhat more labor-intensive, which kind of sucks. The only good part is that we're getting some good stuff, like sliced provolone, genoa salami, and chicken. Of course, they don't really fit in with my diet, so I'll only taste them sparingly, but it'll probably positively impact sales.
Bill no longer works there; he left to go to Colorado or something, leaving me as the only MiT right now. Jen Fee almost came back, but she went to Kyle instead. I've mentioned to Ambra that she should come back and be an MiT for us; new gm, new dm, there's a good chance they'll let her. They should - she's well trained, she's smart, they let her GM a store for over six months. Oh, and we're NOT DATING, nor WERE WE EVER. They're cracking down ever harder on employee dating, transferred a GM to a completely different district because she was dating another GM. Whatever. We did hire this awesome insider named Becky, but she only worked here for the summer. That made me sad, especially when she left like two weeks ago. Thanks to that, we're still working on improving our inside staff. We need another shift runner or MiT, probably another insider or two. We did hire Janelle as a driver, that's pretty neat. She might be moving back here for her last semester and/or year of school, which would be interesting. Her and Mom don't get along as well as her and I do, so she's a little worried that it might not work out, that they're going to clash too hard much for her to live here. I keep telling her that it was hard for me at first, but that it got a lot better, especially once school started.
Anyway.
So that's what's going on with that.

You move around like you're unbreakable
Couple things to write about. Crazy dreams, talking to Rebecca - you know, nothing substantial.
This dream I had just recently, woke up a few hours ago. It's fading really, really quickly, but one part stands out. I had a crazy swordfight with some weird French dude in the house. I mean, real swordfighting with epees that could take an ear off. I ended up beating him when I grabbed a spatula and used it as an off-hand weapon and beat the crap out of it while I used my epee to counter his (thanks Jarrod!).
That dream was pretty neat.
Then I had this other dream a few days ago. I wanted to write about it as soon as I woke up so I could get all of it, but I didn't get around to it. Basically, this girl was going to make a video of her doing some cool dive or something into her big pool, but she hit her head on the water or something, so she started sinking straight down and was going to drown. Both her father and I jumped in to save her, but I got down and brought her up before she died or anything. We had already been friends or something, so we went to hang out at her (very large) place. We had to swim across a bay or osmething to get there, that was cool. Oh, and her servants and family really only spoke Italian, and I tried stumbling through some stuff. Good times.
Been on a huge Vanessa Carlton kick lately, her last album is simply amazing.
So yeah.
Oh!
Rebecca.
Rose *and* Matt both wanted to go to Wal-Mart last night; I was only too happy to oblige. She was working the door. Overnight, that's pretty boring. Anyway, I didn't really make it any further into the store than that. Not necessary. We talked for twenty minutes or so. I keep thinking 'Maybe I should excuse myself and leave her alone?', but I don't think that was ever an issue. It's such a weird line I'm trying to walk - I'm pretty sure she knows I like her (she said as much when I ASKED HER OUT), and I don't want her to think that one little rejection will destroy my interest - I'm not nearly so fickle - but I don't want to come off so strong.
Actually, that last sentence is a complete lie. I don't put nearly that much thought into it. My thought process is more like "OHGODOHGODOHGODOHGODOHGODOHGODOHGODDON'TBEACREEPYBASTARDOHGODOHGODOHGODOHGOD". I think that's where the deer-in-headlights comes from. I guess I don't do so well when my inner monologue is freaking out. Whatever.
So yeah, we talked. Notable things - she asked me both (a) if I have a girlfriend and (b) if I live alone. Now certainly, I'm not reading *too* much into things like that - she's just making conversation, being friendly, etc. However, I don't think those are things you might ask someone you think is a creepy bastard who you really don't want to deal with anymore.
I hope.
Anyway, yeah, we talked for like twenty minutes. She said I hadn't formally introduced myself, and she wouldn't have known my name if it wasn't for Suzie (not my ex, but one of the other cashiers), though I swear that one time, she had to bring my food out to me 'cause I ordered a burger at like 7 am, and I asked her her name, and she told me, and she asked me my name, and I told her), but yeah. I should have just taken the opportunity to say "Hi! My name's Billy, and it's my great pleasure to meet you." Of course, I didn't do that. I instead argued with her (!), citing that occurrence. She didn't remember it, which isn't terribly surprising - "Are you sure that it wasn't someone else at Jack in the Box?" - was one of my favorite lines from that conversation.
Of course, that does point at a huge psychological flaw I seem to have. I enjoy being right. I'll argue about it when I think I am, even if it does no good even if I win. Case in point: I could have just apologized, taken the chance to introduce myself then and there, and it would have been pretty cool. But did I? Nope. Argued (!) about it. I mean, gah. Little things like that, I think I should work on a bit.
So anyway. We talked.
Went to class today, spent a while cleaning up my truck, finally put the seat cover on the new seat. Emptied an entire bottle of Febreeze on it to get the smell out. Went ahead and washed the truck, since I was already there. Good times.

Watch me as I walk in slowly
So, life is pretty good right now. I mean, not great, nothing fantastic, but good. Content. That kind of thing. Work's going okay, finally started to ease off the paycheck-to-paycheck thing, which I really hate. About to file my taxes, and I'll be able to pay back Mom the money I've owed her for a bit, which I really hate. Oh! Mindy - yes, that Mindy - works with us now. Not as in, an overnight stocker, but as in, a GROCERY overnight stocker. Which means I'm working side-by-side with her. Every (most) night(s). Having breaks together, lunch, end-of-day crap, the whole nine yards. It's... well, good, I guess. She's definitely a friendly face, and I can always use more of those. We've mainly been talking about what we've both been up to the last few years. She's still really cute, too - looks the same, just all grown up. What's annoying about it, though, is that the guys at work - mainly Zack and Nolan - are totally misconstruing the entire situation. First off, they have her confused with Lilie. When I started working there, I was still fawning over her, still hopelessly in love with her. And, of course, I talked about it. Second, they seem to be of the mindset - and I ran into this when I was talking to Rose on the phone one day during break - that if a boy and a girl are talking to each other, smiling, laughing, generally genuinely enjoying each other's company, then obviously, one is trying to have sex with the other. So that's annoying. I mean, most of the things that made us a good couple are still there, the way our personalities mesh, so we get along really well. And yes, I'll admit that I do still find her attractive. However, I have no desire to rekindle anything with her. It's nice, though, having a friend up there. Aside from Matt.
Just got my head shaved; haven't had it cut since I started working at Wal-Mart. I know Mindy's used to it, and I think Matt's probably seen me with my head shaved before, but nobody else has. That'll be fun.
Chelsea's running again. I mean, not sporadically or anything, but running well. We had Don Reilly take a look at her, the guy is awesome. Fixed the door too, while he was at it, just for the hell of it. But yeah, she starts great. Don't have to barely turn the key past accessory mode to ignite, and there's no hesitation. Doesn't idle rough anymore, at all. Overall, excellent work. I mean, I know she's not going to run forever, but this definitely gave her a huge boost.

Nobody gets out alive
Times like this really test my previous assertion that I'm quite capable of standing on my own. I mean, it's really easy for me to say that yeah, I have no problem being alone, that I can be happy and complete, when things are going well, or seem to be getting better. But now, when I get frustrated to the point of being ready to just give up, when I really just want to crawl into someone's arms, and be held, and cry into their shoulder, that's when I get to find out if what I said was a load of shit or not.
So yeah, truck issues AGAIN. SAME EXACT THING. It's been in the shop... four? five? times for it now. They don't know what's wrong with it, "can't find anything wrong" is what they told us this morning. How do I respond to that? "Well, am I starting it wrong?" I can certainly understand that she's an old vehicle, she's going to have problems. She's, what, 16 years old? I don't know when she was produced in '91, but we're coming up on '07 really fast. So, 16 and change. But in the past five years, I've replaced both the engine and the transmission. Not to mention the radiator, among various minor repairs. It's a constant conundrum: Do you repair the vehicle you have, even though you know it's going to keep having new problems, or get a new(er) one, that should be free of the age issues? When do you justify losing everything you've invested into the old vehicle, and when is it just throwing good money after bad?
I'll probably have to get a bike, use that for a while. Not sure what else to do. I mean, I've made a total mess of my life, and times like this really, really serve to drive it home. I think I preferred it when negative emotion spirals focused on things like why the fuck I did something weird at the skating rink around Chelsea, or why Lilie dumped me for Scott, instead of what a failure I am at life. At least the former have some positive memories attached to them, that don't make me feel even more worthless just to attempt to recall.

She's a maneater
Just a quick update. Went and got my truck. They "couldn't find anything wrong with it." Yeah. They changed out some distributor module that Billy McAllister was having issues with on his truck when it was doing the same thing, we'll see what happens. Didn't have any issues on the way home (other than the squeaking, which I need to get taken care of very soon), but then again, it never does. We'll see what happens when I try to go to work tonight.
Got my cell phone back. The battery had died, so I didn't get to see how many missed calls I had, and there were only two messages, one of which was me, trying to find my phone.

Cover me in ecstasy
Guess I'm in a posting mood today. I have an hour, maybe two, before I have to spring into action and start getting some errands taken care of - deposit my paycheck, drop off rent, purchase a bird bath for Bam and Greg, go do some clothes shopping at the Outlet Mall, courtesy of the gift card Mom got me, and I think that's all? Oh! I also have to drop by Mom's, grab my cell phone and get some food out of the fridge that expires today. My phone's been missing for a few days now, it was in Janelle's car. Turns out it fell out as I was getting in. Or out. Whatever. It's funny, 'cause there's going to be about five missed calls from the apartment, a few from the house, a few from Rose, and probably a bunch from Mom.
The thing that complicates all of this, and prevented me from doing any of it yesterday is that my truck's in the shop again, for the same old issue. It's starting to get really, really annoying. I don't know how this guy managed to get Bill Mann to give him the SMAC contract, but he really, really doesn't deserve it. I definitely won't be going to him for any of my mechanical needs, once this thing is done, which are coming up - I need a new fanbelt, probably could use an oil change... good stuff.
So yeah. The thing that complicates this... wait, did that. The other thing that complicates this is that I have to pick Mom up at 2:30 to take her from one of her jobs to the other. I think she might be dropping me of at the apartment instead? Something like that. Either way, I'll be leaving at noon, or when Femaledwarf hits 52 (41k xp to go!), but not whichever comes first. I'm not sure.
So, New Year's is coming up. To be frank, Christmas wasn't that great this year. I've already done my disclaimer on bitching about it, and I'd like to just reference it and say it holds here as well. Hell, let's just have it as my standard disclaimer to every post I've ever made in which I bitched about things are, in the grand scheme of things, relatively minor (Note: everything I've ever really bitched about). I don't think New Year's is going to be any better. Well, it won't be worse, but it won't be good at all, because it's going to be a normal work day. We go on break at midnight, which means I'll probably have to deal with a bunch of co-workers being all "Happy New Year's!" I hate that. Well, I don't hate that. I hate random people wishing me a happy New Year's. I guess it's just one of those little idiosyncratic things about me, like how I hate salespeople coming up to me and asking me if I need any assistance in a store. It's polite, it's a nice way of showing compassion for your fellow human beings, and it drives me nuts. Now, I love being wished a happy New Year's by important people.
But I'm going to reminisce about past Christmas/New Year's, and why they sucked. I mean, I don't automatically assume it's going to suck, but I don't shy away from the reality of the situation.

You're wasting my time; could've, should've been living my deams
I should preface this post by saying I've been fairly fortunate in the grand scheme of things. Other than a weight problem, I'm very healthy, and other than an incredible knack for making incredibly bad decisions, I'm very intelligent. I never had to go to bed hungry, except as a punishment, nor did I ever have to entertain myself with only a twig and a bit of twine. My present circumstances are entirely the result of my bad decisions, and have nothing to do with any problems in my upbringing (Well, maybe one or two things. But not really).
So, when I whine and bitch and rant, I know that in the grand scheme of things, the things I'm complaining about are relatively minor, and that there are millions of people worldwide that would gladly exchange their troubles for mine.
That being said...
SHIT.
COCK.
BALLS.
This Christmas wasn't that great. It was dominated by a truck issue, one I'm happy to report I seem to have finally cleared up within the last hour. A week (?) ago, when Ambra needed a ride home from work, my truck wouldn't start. I checked the dial, and it looked light I might have left the inside light on all night and all day (even though my internal light doesn't come on through that switch, but I was thinking maybe the circuit was open and could have drained it? Or something?), so Janelle came, gave me a jump, and it started just fine. Didn't think anything else of it, until the next day, after Ambra left, when it wouldn't start again. Not like the recurring fuel pump issue I've had, just nothing - no noise, no motion, nothing. It took a jump, leading me to believe it wasn't the starter. So, I figured the battery was probably dead. Janelle gave me a ride to work, then in the morning (Christmas Eve), I bought a new battery and went to work trying to replace it. I should mention that it was very cold and raining. Not that they bother me *that* much, but it does make the story that much better, and I was sick, and frustrated, so they didn't help. The terminals were SUPER corroded, so I couldn't get them off, and eventually gave up in frustration. Christmas... I'll talk about that in a bit.
Last night, bought a terminal replacement set - two terminals, screws, and nuts - and set to work replacing it this morning after work. Got the old battery out (eventually; the screw that holds down the rubber plug was mega-rusted). Started working on replacing the battery terminals... and I lost a nut. They hold the screws in that are holding down the plate that keeps the wires in contact with the terminals and posts, so yeah, they're pretty important, and they don't pack a spare or anything. I gave up on it for the moment, came inside, and took a nap. Woke up an hour ago, Janelle came and got me (again), brought me to Mom's house, found a new nut that worked almost as well, and replaced it.
Got everything hooked up, and yes! my truck works. I fucking rock.

So, lots to write about. I'll start with the stuff I posted that I was going to post about - in my metapost, if you will.
Because I know I sure will. Or something like that.
First, Ray had his baby! Yay! Well, I guess you could say Heather had it, to be fair and all. It was the 22nd, she's healthy and everything. I need to send them some congratulatory messages. It's very exciting. It's hard to believe, I s'pose. We're closing together on Sunday - theoritically - so I'm sure I'll get to hear all about it.
Speaking of babies, Saxton is getting bigger every day. We had Sunday brunch at Mom's, it's just incredible watching him grow. I mean, I hate kids and all, but I won't deny the miracle that is human life.
Simply stunning.
Next, my truck. Um, what was I going to post about? Oh, yeah. So I noticed it was hissing after driving it, and I could smell coolant. I took it over to Meineke. It's a weird little shop, and I got annoyed when they let that girl cut in front of me that last time, but I do like the way they take care of their customers. They're very sure to provide you with a written estimate before they do anything, or call you if they're not there. That was one of the problems I had with B&M - I would always very specifically tell them I wanted them to call me before they did anything, and they never did. Hell, one time, we got the truck dropped off there around eight am; it was pushing four, and we hadn't heard anything at all from them. They said they'd be able to look at it before noon, so we were getting a little concerned. We called, and they had already diagnosed and fixed the problem. I mean, yeah, that's kinda good, except we had specifically requested a call before any work was done. So yeah, that got a little annoying. I went to Meineke once for an oil change, and to get the brake light thing checked out. No problems there - the check brake light was on 'cause a tube had somehow been disconnected, no extra charge at all for diagnosing and fixing it. So yeah, I'm going with them for right now.
I called at like 1:30, asking how long the wait was (I had to be to work at five). They said they had an open bay. I got there, it had been filled (Hmm). But yeah, it was some girl waiting to get her brakes checked out. She was reading America: The Book, which is just awesome. I thought I might have recognized her from on campus, but didn't say anything. Yeah, it wasn't until about 3:30 that they were able to look at Chelsea. One hose had holes in it, two more were wearing thin. I told him that I'd get it fixed there, *if* they were sure they could have it done by 4:35 - it was 3:45 at this point.
I started getting worried about 4:40. At 4:45, they came out and told me that they had the wrong hose. I told them I had to be to work at 5, the lady working the desk drove me home, let me change, then drove me to work. Weird, but it works. They dropped off the truck at a few hours later. I was ansy with someone else driving her around and what-not, but everything turned out okay.
So, next on this wildly sporadic, topic-hopping adventure: movie night. Jason and I have been hanging out at my place after work, watching movies. First night was just the two of us, watching Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It's not a porn, as my mom seemed to think. But it's FRICKIN' AWESOME. Very sarcastic, witty dialogue. I'm taking it up to Rose and Lilie tomorrow night, I think they'll love it. The second time, it was me, Kenny, Ambra, and Jason watching the same movie again. Finally, Ambra, Jason and I watched Momento. I was the only one who hadn't seen it. Fantastic movie.
Let's see, what else, what else?
Yeah, we've got two new drivers at work, Kyle and David. We always seem to hire drivers in pairs - Enrique and Greg, Ryan and Kenny, David and Kyle. It's notable because we associate the two of them, even though they've never met before they started working, and will generally only be associated as co-workers, not like a deep bond or something. That sentence didn't make a lot of sense, so bare with me. Anyway. Closed with Jason and Kyle the other night, that was a lot of fun. I want to say that was the night we watched Momento. In fact, I'm almost positive, 'cause we gave Kyle a hard time about not joining us - his girlfriend was down from Austin or something. But yeah, they both seem to be working out well. David kind of reminds me of Rick from Sonic, but only in a physical sense. He's a little taller, a little wider, but definite physical resemblance. Psychologically, nothing like him. He seems really cool, though. Kyle is always described as a new Mokry, but I don't really agree. Time will tell, though.
So, Rebecca. She's the girl at Jack-in-the-Box that makes me feel weird whenever we make eye contact. I mean, it's just a little crush. I've been talking to Rose, and there aren't really any ways to approach a female in the service industry. I'm sure it's happened once or twice, but it won't this time. It helps if you're like really hot and they make the first motion, but failing that, you don't really have many options. I dont know what I'm saying - I'm sure there's a way, I just don't have the confidence to do it. I figure females receive all kinds of unsolicited attention as it is - *especially* those in the service industry - and I don't want to exacerbate the problem. To be fair, though, at the moment, she's *way* in the back of my mind. That's only because it's been such an awesome three days. We'll see what happens when I'm back in the daily grind, if I get to come back up to Austin very often. I hope I do. I like it up here. So yeah, she's cute. Really pretty eyes. That's... about all I have to say on the matter for right now. Probably *it*, as well. I mean, probably all I'll have to say about it.
So I'm still up in Austin, hanging out with Rose and Lilie, which is nice. Looks like I'll be crashing here tonight too. It's... confusing, to say the least. Simple, but confusing. Easy, but hard. A, but not a.
Good times.
I think too much, and not enough.
So... what else? I don't know. I'm still bummed about this whole Domino's thing being taken off of my time frame, about my social life being all twisted up, I just feel like I've lost control for the time being. It's time I started taking it back, I just have to take the first step. That's the hardest. Well... I'll be able to take it in one area, not sure about another. I think it'll just keep going on like it has been, failing something catastrophic to act as a catalyst and force me to break out of it.
So, back to work tomorrow. I have two closing shifts, a day off, then a long inside shift, then close on Sunday. I have to go in to talk to Gina as soon as I'm backin town, which will probably be around 11 am tomorrow or so. I have to remember to ask Lilie if we can set her alarm clock - it's not quite as loud as mine, but it'll do - before we crash out.

'Cause there's nowhere you can run
Well, Christmas is over. I s'pose. It was pretty good.
I closed Wednesday - Sunday. It felt good to be back at the store, and I prefer it there, I think. At least while I'm working the second job, I won't be thinking about taking a GM position. Poor Gina, though, has been really sick all week and was only starting to get better on Saturday, but still couldn't keep anything down. And yeah, we have like *no* drivers right now - 8 or 9, I think. And "Don't worry, things will die off?" Ha, no. I mean, things got kinda slow, but nowhere near as slow as everyone kept saying. Especially Christmas Eve - we stayed open until 10, which was our franchise-designated time to close. We were going to try to close much earlier - 8 or so, if things were slow enough, but people kept ordering. We had a 20 and a 40 pie hour. Yeah. But in short, yeah, I'm glad to be back.
Supposed to be getting my truck back Tuesday or Wednesday, something like that. I have Monday-Wednesday off, so it's not that big of an issue, but I can't really get anything done that involves leaving the house. I want to get down to the Wal-Mart Distribution Warehouse and apply there as soon as possible, so I know whether or not that's going to work out. I *really* don't want a second food-service job; that would suck. Hardcore. Someone mentioned the possibility of going back to Sonic, and I just 'bout slapped them. So we'll see how that goes.
David's still in Denver, and won't be getting back for another two weeks or so. So that's fun. It's really quiet and lonely here.
So, yeah. Got a few cool things for Christmas. David got me a raised, split, ergonomic keyboard, which is a lot of fun, though it does take a little adjusting. Mom get me a full-body pillow, which is something I've been wanting for a while. Those are the two things that really stick out. Oh, yeah - Carrie called to wish me a Merry Christmas, which is just awesome! We talked a little - far too little - and she had to go. I still haven't abandoned my hopes of her coming down some time for a visit.
Lemme see, lemme see, what else? Nothing, really. Been playing some WoW, redid my UI from the ground up. Dropped a ton of CT Mod - the bars, mainly, in favor of Discord Action Bars; dropped Statusbars for Nurfed_Hud and Discord Unit Frames. I moved the stuff around on Nurfed_Hud a little, and replaced the outer left bar. It was originally a casting bar timer, but it was kind of awkward, and eCastingBar fit in just fine, so I changed the outer left ring to track my target's mana/rage/energy/focus. Got Discord Art, but haven't done anything with it yet, and once I play Ihatebrooms more, I'll be playing around with Discord Group Buttons (or whatever it's called). Yeah, the Discord Mods are pretty cool. I'll post a few pictures if they ever release my picture blog back to general use.

Get your booty on the floor tonight
I don't really feel like talking about Chelsea just yet, or about the work situation that has been created. I'll get to that soon enough.
So instead, I'll talk about the two weird dreams I had last night. They may have been the same dream, I don't know.
The shorter one, I was driving. Pulled up at Lancaster and Craddock, getting ready to take a left, when this little blue car pulled into that weird little paved area across the street. I knew it was Mindy, but I didn't know how I knew. I then dismissed that knowledge as random speculation, when Mindy stuck her head out the window of the aforementioned car. She yelled something at me which I couldn't hear, but I somehow read her lips, and she was telling me that there was a hundred dollar bill on my windshield. That sounded kind of weird, so I got out and checked, and sure enough... it was right there. As I got out, though, it blew off, and started blowing down the grassy area on the other side of Craddock. Naturally, I got out and started chasing it. She got out and helped. We chased it down easily enough, and started heading back to our cars. I ripped it in half (got two 50's) and gave one to her, and kissed her on the lips. She reacted with surprise, but didn't pull away. It wasn't a long, drawn-out affair, nor was there tongue, but it was open-mouthed. Very weird.
Possible analyzation? A few things. First, I'm dealing with the loss of my truck right now, and a lot of memories of those two are intertwined - Mindy and my truck, I mean. I'm also hurt and alone right now, and dearly wish I had some to hold me and comfort me, which will naturally lead back to thoughts of Mindy as well.
The sceond one was equally strange, if not more so. The entire thing took place in this one classroom. I was on the phone with this other guy, and as a joke, I said some things that would make it strongly seem as though I were gay. This really cute girl was nearby and heard them, though I (in the dream) didn't knew she had, so she thought I was gay. She was very sad, and decided (?) to start liking this other guy, who actually was gay, but she didn't know that. Again, she was very cute. Not "hot" in the classical sense, but very attractive. Freckles and very pretty eyes. This one seems shorter in recollection, but it was in the middle of one of Stapp's classes, and I'm skipping the Statistics parts about alpha levels and the Poissant distribution curves and its proofs (which are fascinating, I assure you. During Statistics at SWT, I was going to leave way early to go help Lilie with something, but ended up staying for the entire class to watch the proofs, then went and helped her afterwards. It wasn't time-crucial or anything like that.)

And the system, we'll set to overflow
Made my first student loan payments today. That was fun. Not really. Only 119 more to go. Now, if my transmission could just be moderately damaged, as opposed to requiring a complete replacement...
Well, here goes. The past few days, we haven't really done anything. Moved a couple things, but that's about it. Today, today is when the storm breaks. We're going to open tonight, take some orders. We've got to get everything set up, move some more stuff in, I'll start meeting my crew for the first time... it's going to be crazy. More later... but it's going to be okay, because I am the storm.

Hear that voice, it's the calm of your heart
This post is going to be sporadic and jumpy. Deal with it.
So I finally got to see my store. It's very much still under construction. When I was there, they were putting in the lights in the cieling, working on the walkin, all kinds of stuff. There were maybe 20 or so people working. I ended up just cleaning up the makeline (It's just like the one at Diana's store, blegh!!) and the oven (which is at a 45-ish degree angle to the cut table - double blegh!!). Eileen rode around in my truck a little, which was, well, fun. Not really. I ended up not being able to go to the work party, which Murph was quite adamant that I had to go to.
Oh yeah, Chelsea's in the shop right now. Transmission problems, which should be fun. So I'll be taking Mom's car to San Antonio tomorrow, which I'm not sure about. I guess I'll just show up about 9 or so, see what's going on.
So yeah, things are getting off to a great start.
Tried to download and run the D&D: Stormreach Online beta stress test, got a horrendous framerate - downright unplayable. Didn't help that David's ran flawlessly. So I can't really comment on the game just yet. Got my video card and processor overclocked now, though I'm waiting on an update of the Rage 3D utility for the 5.12 catalyst drivers. It's kind of annoying - I can pull 60+ fps in WoW, even with Windows Media Player playing a full length movie in the background. Update: Just hit 99 fps. Yeah.
So anyway. Talked to Ambra a little today. Kinda. I don't really remember what was said - I was half asleep the whole time. So for all those people asking me what's going on with that, yeah, I don't know. Probably nothing. Which accurately describes both my current social life and any prospects.
So I'm in kind of a holding pattern right now. I can't really start looking for a place in San Antonio until I find a new roommate for David. I really don't want to, I'll admit - we seem to get along so very well. It'll be a shame to lose that. But, ah, well. And I probably won't be able to find anyone until the students start coming back in January. That, and he's going to be gone for a few weeks, which makes things hard. Then I have to find a roommate and/or a place in San Antonio, preferably near the store. Once I take that step, it gets a lot harder to undo things. It'd still be really cool if Carrie moved down here and we got a place. Kind of random, but really cool.
So, yeah. Blegh. Can I get a reset button? That'd be nice.
No idea -- I wish I knew

I am the revolution
(Edit: Those post was originally started Thursday morning. It's now Saturday afternoon, and I'm finishing it. I'll mark where I got to on Thursday, to help with that.)
Interesting thing happened to me today.
I got rear-ended.
I'm glad I'm practicing saying this here, as opposed to at work. If I were to say it first in front of Ray or Thompson, it'd turn into a huge continuation of the "Billy *loves* the cock." running gag that we've got going on. But yeah. I was sitting at the light at Holland and RR12, heading out of town. Fairly long line at the light - it was red - slowly inching forward. I inch forward along with everyone else, then stop. I'm sitting there, jamming out to "Love Will Come" by Jam Jameston, when I feel a slight bump. Or think I do. Wasn't quite sure. I look around, didn't hit anything. I look in my rear-view mirror, notice that the car in front of me is close. *Very* close. Next time I pull up a little more, I look at the car again. Sure enough, there's a big circular dent where my bumper tilts down a little. She didn't look too happy. I pulled into the gas station right there, in case she wanted to talk or something. She just drove on.
I laughed.
So yeah, that was semi-intersting.
Lilie and I talked again last night. (If anyone sighs, I'm going to smack them.) I kind of layed it all out for her. She also read all the venting in my blog.
(Note: This is far as I got on Thursday. I'm now switching over to Saturday afternoon).
So yeah, we talked. Had another soul-searching, close conversation while... I was checking her out. Not in a 'look her up and down' type way, but a 'count her money she just turned in and end her shift as a driver, as far as the computer's concerned' type way. But yeah, we talked. A lot. She cried. That made me cry. Later. Well, that, and a few other things. But anyway... I think we've finally got closure on the whole situation. We're just best friends. Best friends that are *very* close, emotionally and physically, but just best friends. She just *can't* do a committed relationship right now, and she's not sure how she feels. I believe that she want(ed)s to, which explains our brief relapse a while back - the two and a half day fiasco. She knows how I feel, I know how she feels, and she knows that if she ever wants to try again, I'll be here. Or there. Or somewhere.
The ambiguity was really hard for me to deal with, but rejection... that's something I'm used to, familiar with, *that*, I can handle. To be fair, though, it's not rejection in the normal sense. She doesn't not like me, she's not in another relationship... we just didn't fit. At least not now. But we're still really close, and I don't think that will change any time soon. Neither one of us is willing to give that up, and there's no reason to. I love her, she loves me.
Things are good.
I s'pose. Work's been interesting, but more on that later. I'd like to actually publish this post.

If I had just one last wish, I would like a tasty fish
Man, things have been... weird lately. Well, not weird. Bad. Let's do a recap.
Wrote Carrie a four page letter before work on Tuesday; should surprise her when she gets that in the mail. Took Mom's car to work Tuesday morning; Allison freaked out when she first pulled up. She was all, "Crap, who the heck's car is that? I thought I was opening with Will!" I explained the whole thing to her, though. The phones went down again Tuesday. Morgan tried to call in, but she couldn't, so she ended up coming down there to let us know what was going on. She was *really* sick. I mean, her voice was all messed up, she was coughing something awful, you could tell she had massive congestion. She also just found out she has asthma, which really sucks. We couldn't call anyone to cover her, so she kinda hung around. Luckily, we were really slow. Javi got there and sent her home. Not much else notable, though I did manage to get a hold of Mom concering L&S, they would have Chelsea ready to go around 5 or 5:30. For 440 dollars or so. To be fair, that did include an oil change.
So I got my truck back, was running good. Talked to Heather, she mentioned a friend of hers was selling a king bed for like 95 dollars. I figured there was a slight miscommunication, but it sounded like he had a bunch of furniture he was trying to unload, and thought I might still be able to get a good deal. Got David to come along, which is always nice. Mom printed out some thing from the 'net about a rental property that they were clearing out, anybody could just go by and pick up whatever they wanted. I was going to go, but I wanted someone to go with me. Took about three minutes to exhaust the list of potential partners-in-crime in San Marcos. That was fun. Ending up taking Janelle; we got there, and it was... well, kinda weird. It was dark when we got there, and of course, there was no power. We left my truck lights running, but that didn't really help once we got inside. Nothing in there was worth it, though Janelle did get a bag of stress-relief toys, so the trip wasn't a total loss.
Wednesday afternoon, went to Pflugerville with David to meet up with this guy. He wanted 350 for the bed, but he came down to 310 since we also bought a couch with a little fold-out bed. It's kinda small, though - more love seat-ish, really. Two cushions. Though it means people will have somewhere to crash. Or something like that. Loaded up the bed and the couch and drove home. I thought the bed looked a little small, but I figured that that was just my high expectations failing. Stopped at the Buda Sonic, 'cause I really wanted a cherry limeade. I climbed into the bed to check out my recent acquisition. Something seemed kind of off, though - a king bed is supposed to be about 6' 1/2" square, which means I could lie either way without anything dangling off. However, that didn't seem to be the case. I thought it might have just been the way it was sitting in my truck or someting, but I resolved to check it out when I got home.
So we get home, and I pull out a tape measure. Sure enough, it wasn't a king, but a queen. That kind of upset me. I mean, I can get a brand new queen bed in town for like 120. I figured I'd give him the benefit of the doubt; I called him back and confirmed that it was supposed to be a king bed, and informed that it was, in fact, a queen. I told him this, and he reacted... in a bad way. He started saying how we had an agreement, and that I had looked at the bed and said it was okay, etc. I then told him that yeah, we had an agreement that I was buying a king bed. So he scooted around the issue a little bit more - said something about how when you buy something at a store, you can't just bring it back 'cause you don't like it. I told him that yeah, you basically can, *especially* when they lied to you about what you were buying, and in that case, they can face legal action - not that that would have to happen in this case - so that was kind of a bad example. Eventually, he agreed to just give me my money back. He tried offering some of it back, and I'd keep the bed, but after his little thing, I was really pissed, and didn't want him to get anything. I was ready to bring the couch back as well, but David wanted to keep it.
Went to work, got to talk to Lala. She seems cool. Came home, showered, etc. Started to feel a little bad. By 3 or so, it had graduated to full-on nauseua. I knew I was going to throw up, but I wasn't sure how long it was going to take. So I kind of lay there in bed, with Eddie Izzard on, in a half passed out state, 'til it finally came. And come, it did. It was *gross*. Went back into my bed, and just kind of lay there, not quite asleep, but not entirely awake either. I threw up, I think, about five more times. Most of them were just dry heaves, which were terrible. It felt like someone was wringing me out, like a wet towel. I had been drinking water and took some anti-nauseua medicince, but I threw that up as well. It wasn't pleasent. The *really* fun part came a few hours later. My stomach and chest muscles were really sore from all the contractions during the dry heaves, so I couldn't breathe. Well, not really. I'd start to breathe in, and my lungs would start expanding, but the muscles around them were really sore and wouldn't go any further. So that was fun.
'Round noon, I left to get David and go *back* to Pfulgerville (this is an hour drive, mind you) to get my money back from that guy. I really didn't want to, given how incredibly crappy I was feeling, but I didn't really have much choice. So we got there without incident, he didn't really say anything as we unloaded the bed back into his house. I was *so* pissed at him. So we had to stop at a gas station on the way back so I could go to the bathroom. Got back to David's, and he let me hang out there for a little bit. I felt really bad, and just wanted to lie down for a while. I did, 'til he had to leave to go to San Marcos to talk to the guy at Best Buy here. I came home, and fell asleep. Upon waking up, I felt... well, kinda better. Different. I don't really feel nauseous anymore, though I do have a massive headache. But I can deal with headaches. I'm good at ignoring them.
Wrote Carrie a four page letter before work on Tuesday; should surprise her when she gets that in the mail. Took Mom's car to work Tuesday morning; Allison freaked out when she first pulled up. You've washed your hands clean of us
Argh, so many things, don't know where to start.
Let's start with work.
Actually, no, let's try and finsh my recap that somehow dovetailed into a bizarre... I don't even know what. I'll get back to that weird tangent, though, and try to clarify what the hell I was talking about - assuming I can figure it out, of course.
So yeah, over at Lilie's Thursday night. Ex-girlfriends can't veto haircuts. She wants to be thought of as a friend, not as an ex-girlfriend. Which is no problem, because she's my closest friend. Well, it is a problem, because I can' t let go of my feelings for her, but I won't really mention them anywhere but here, so I guess it isn't really a problem. I ended up staying over there pretty late - I think it was around 4 or so when I lied down on her dining room floor and was opening her computer case, to see where the second hard drive was going to go - she has two disk drives, so the floppy drive is where the second hard drive would go. I'd just pull the floppy and put the hard drive there while she gets what she needs off of it, but apparently, its Keven's project, so I didn't really make any comments. Anyway. She came over and lied down next to me. She was really tired, and I wasn't that not-tired either. We *almost* fell asleep - I'm not sure how close she came, but I know she was almost, if not entirely, asleep. I got her up, though, and to bed, and went home. Had Friday off. Her car was getting out of the shop, so she asked me if I could come over and give her a ride to her car around 4:30 or 5.
So I left my house around 4:30 or so. I was sitting at the N LBJ/Sessoms intersection when I heard someone yell "Billy!" - it was Shelley, in what I could only gather at the time was Kevin's truck. I waved back, not wanting to tax my already sore throat. I was going to stop by Sonic to confirm with Javi that I was coming in around 9 or so to close for him since he had to work a long shift, as well as check the schedule for that night so I would know what I was going to be dealing with. Sure enough, Shelley/Kevin headed to Sonic as well. They parked on #3, I parked in the back and headed on via the other side. Shelley was standing in the lobby talking or something when I walked in, so I just went to the dry stock room to look at the schedule. When I came back, she was gone, so I talked to Javi about that evening - it was on. After that, I headed over to Lilie's. Her car wasn't quite ready, so I just hung out on the couch, watching TV. She made a comment about how Kevin didn't think she should be hanging out with me, and that he was also surprised that I hadn't made any moves to "get into her pants" Thursday night (or something like that). Annoying, but I can see his angle. And sure enough, Shelley and Kevin came in fairly soon afterwards. I gather Shelley had been trying to find someone to work for her on Saturday, so that she could go to a wedding with Lilie during the day, but to no avail. I didn't really say anything while they were there, mindful of Shelley's recently declared animosity towards me. I was invited (I think) to the wedding (as a last-minute escort, or something like that), but I had to work Saturday evening, and would have been unable to attend. They left fairly soon after that.
Lilie called to check on her car, and it was ready. We headed over there to pick it up, then came back. After that, we decided to go out to eat - she was really hungry. She wasn't sure where she wanted to go, so we stopped by Danielle's house first to pick up Kingdom Hearts and Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail: Special Collector's Edition DVD. I was wearing my cowboy hat the majority of the trip, but it turns out that neither Danielle nor Lilie like it. How terrible.
We ended up going to Bennigan's for dinner - she had the Fettucini Alfredo (I think), and I had the Monte Cristo. After that, I took her home, then headed into work. Nothing notable there. Saturday, slept in, and went to work at 5. Again, nothing notable. I think. Sunday, some thing. Well, one thing happened. The phone rang about 11:30 or so on Sunday. I answered it, and it was Lilie. My heart jumped with joy, until I realized that she was just calling to let me/the store know that Shelley was extremely sick - she may have caught the death flu, which I'm still dealing with the lingering effects of - and wouldn't be able to come in on Monday. I left a note, and I think Erica came in for her.
Monday, I had to re-attach my battery cable right before I left for work. Of course, it was incredibly corroded, and as I was tightening the terminal, it ripped off. It was... kind of scary. I was supposed to be leaving for work then, so I didn't really have a whole lot of time. Mom and Janelle were busy, so I tried Lilie. no answer. So I called Jarrod. Luckily, I got ahold of him, and he immediately started heading my way to give me a ride to work. As we were driving, we ended up making some plans for last night - he was going to pick me up from work, we'd watch the second DVD of RvB that I had just finished burning, play some video games, have a grand old time, and in the morning, he'd give me a ride to the bank, the part house to grab the parts I needed to replace, then to my house. I was only about half an hour late, nothing terrible, since Bruce was still there. I was originally supposed to close fountain with Rick running the show, but Katie wanted to stay and carhop, so Lacey stayed for me; I got off around 9:30 or so. Everything else went as planned. I crashed on their couch; we did our thing this morning, and I got my truck repaired. Fun times.
I did manage to talk to Lilie as Jarrod was driving me to work. We had an... interesting conversation. I asked her if she'd like to go skating sometime - Janelle really wants to go as well, since she's getting in some new skates (oh yeah, she's hired at my Sonic as well, and will probably be starting Sunday. More on that later.) , and when I mentioned it to Jarrod and Danielle, they seemed interested as well, so there might be all kinds of people there. Now, if only they had a real DDR machine instead of Pump It Up, things would be perfect.
I got my truck fixed, went to my Academic Advising appointment today, and got to work. Of course, I was late again, 'cause my appointment ran late - it was supposed to start at 3:30, but it didn't start 'til well after 4, and he had to take 2 different phone calls during my appointment. I wouldn't have minded, except I had to be somewhere at 5. Eventually got it done, left, and got to work. Nothing exciting there. Came home, registered for classes. I've got 15 hours this semester. More to come.

The Move
I'm on a roll today. Here are the (few) pictures from the move. This took place the day before Thanksgiving.
2004-11-21
Picture dump: 11/21/04
Assorted group of pictures, some of which are kind of old: The trip to Italian Garden, parking my truck in the grass, seeing Kenni again, and my trip to the Mitte Art Gallery.

It's been a long day
A very, very long day.
First off, I got my truck back today. Three hundred and fifty-five dollars.
Yeah.
Not only that, but apparently, running at a high temperature can cause massive internal damage (duh), and it might die (completely) sometime - if so, probably in the next two weeks.
So that's fun. I'll be driving it to Austin tomorrow to see how it handles that. On the good (?) side, the possibility is fairly minute, since I didn't drive it hot for very long, and Randy didn't see any obvious damage.
Second, I've finally accepted that things aren't going to work with Katie, at all. However, I really do follow my heart, not the other way around, which means I still have deep feelings with her, and it's going to take me a while to get over her. The disparity between my heart and head hurts too.
(Side note: I talked to Rose a little bit ago, and her and Bluebird are going to Enchanted Rock tomorrow, probably spending the night there. Awesome.)
Krista was trying to get on me for never saying anything to her, for not giving it a chance. i came back with something good though - "Have you ever eaten dog shit?" "Um, no." "Why not?" "Because it tastes bad." "How do you know, if you've never eaten it?" For whatever reason, she really, really liked that.
Whatever.
Third, work was an absolute hell. I worked 12 - 10 (by choice; I needed some extra hours, so I picked up Katie's 5 - 10 fountain shift) and had to deal with Joel for like eight of those hours. At one point, I was on number one making burgers, and he was bagging, and he starts going off on how I'm worth less than dog shit, how trained monkeys would be better than me, and how I'm stupid and not intelligent and what-not. Now, I've been teased my whole life. Especially in sixth and seventh grade, when it involved Chelsea. That hurt. I still cry about it. They knew exactly how to hurt me. Comparitively, this doesn't bother me at all. Well, most of the time, it doesn't. But when you pile on top of a bunch of other stuff, it starts to get to you.
And finally, one bright spot: Carrie really, really likes me. I mean, really likes me. And given the oppurtunity, I'd definitely pursue a relationship with her.
Except she lives in KENTUCKY.

Carrie's Back, and Spider-Man 2 is awesome. And my speech professor is... okay, but not terribly intelligent.
Possible spoilers, I don't know yet.
So Carrie's finally back from NY. That's cool - Carrie's *so* awesome, like a bear. We met at the arcade the second time I went to go see Terri; didn't really talk that much while I was there, but I got her AIM sn, and we started talking when I got back. And we've talked a *lot*. We just kind of clicked. I mean, if we had been in the same area, and had this great connection, there's no doubt we would eventually hooked up. I mean, we just... I don't know. It's hard to explain.
But it's good to hear from her again. She's been gone like all summer, and it's been lonely without her or Rose to talk to online.
Except:
Heather and I have been talking online again. Which is weird - I had almost, almost written her off. In fact, I know her number isn't in my cell anymore, and she was off my buddy list for a while (spring cleaning). But we've more or less picked up right where we left off - well, sort of. I think basically just ignoring the, um, well, you see:
Don't ask why. I don't understand it myself. This was from October sixth, 2003.
Wait a second... That must have been like, a couple days before I met Suzie. Or she found me. Or whatever.
Weirdness.
Anyway....
So yeah, Spiderman 2 is really, really cool. Jarrod didn't like it, but he's an idiot. Not really. I thought it was great; better than the first. The villian wasn't some super-buff guy who got dosed with strength serum or whatever; he was a flabby, middle aged guy who just happened to have four super arms wielded to his back. He does end up with MJ, which wasn't completely unforeseen, but I think he should have explored other options first, like the chocolate cake chick. She was cute. King Arthur and Anchorman come out Friday, which I am definitely and possibly going to see, respectively.
Speaking of Friday...
I'm going up to play DDR Friday after work, and I will probably crash at Katie and Rose's that night. That'll be cool - I still haven't done that since they moved, and I've only been up there once since. They both still seem to want to talk to me, which is a good thing. Rose is already kinda hooking up with this guy from (her) work, which doesn't surprise me. I don't know what Katie's been up to, but I hope to find out Friday night. I'm going to bring some flowers - not a romantic bouquet, but a house-warming, colorful array. I think it'll work well.
My truck's back in the shop; this time, for a cracked radiator. Which, despite how bad it sounds, isn't that bad at all. I should have it back sometime tomorrow, ready and raring to go.
I'm enjoying my speech class, although the instructor is annoying me as he incessantly repeats himself. But I find that happening in most classes I've taken, which is just a function of my personality.
