Janelle was asking Mom for a lot of money for a bunch of different things. One of them was a Course Catalog from SWT (Where she's going next year, it seems). Unless I heard wrong, she was asking a lot for it, too - way more than the five dollars it sells for at the campus bookstore (not to mention that all the information is available online for free; that can be excused, though, since the computer's still at the school, awaiting repair). She got really upset when I asked her about it, which leads me to believe she's either on her period, really tired, or up to something. We'll see when I ask mom about it.
I played a few games of DDR this morning. The first was Singles/Random All/Difficult. The first song was a B4U/Brilliant 2 U mix (I can't tell them apart, frankly). After that, I got some other song I can't remember right now, but it was a really slow, really easy song. My third song? Paranoia Survivor 270. I failed it, but the fact that I play on 1.5x doesn't help. After that, some guy came up and asked if I'd be up for some versus.
Our first song (his choice) was Witch Doctor. We both did alright, though he beat me. Second was Rythm & Police (KOG3 Mix). He had the higher score, barely, though I had the higher combo, again just barely. Our final song was Bag. On 1x. Neither of us passed, though he put up much more of a fight than I did.
(Ow. It really hurts to type like this - sitting in a chair with the keyboard right there, and the monitor right in front of me.)
After our match, he asked me if I was on the high score list - which I am, as 'lope'. It's a four letter version of jackalope - I have abbreviations for any given number of letters, starting at 3:
jlp
lope
jlope
jklope
jkalope
jakalope
jackalope
Or something like that. He's "CBRG" apparently, which stands for "Cyborg". He's ahead of me (barely) on one of the doubles nonstop boards.
After that, I played a game of Doubles/Nonstop/Random All/Difficult, but only made it to the third song. I'm wearing my light oatmeal-colored shirt, and I want a chance to dry/cool off a little before chem class.
It's been fun adjusting to the Linux boxes in the labs. It's not *that* different, but, in it's own way, it is. Hard to explain.
