So one night (two nights before I went to Galveston the second time), I was really really bored, so I went digging around to see how many of Suzy's IM Sns I could find. I found around 7 - and there's like 4 more on Yahoo! that I didn't. So anyway, I added them all to my contact list on Trillian. Last night, the one on MSN logs on. I'll let the conversation speak for itself:
Jackalope: what are you doing online?!

Argh. Build 98 of the gEngine... I just had some problems with it. I lost the AoE gML, which means all the work I've done on that is gone (and most of the hard stuff was done, almost moving to the fun parts). I would have lost the Rifts update as well, but I accidentally uploaded a copy to the server while fooling around with the new DevKit.

Argh. It just lost my post. AGAIN.
So, here's the short version:
I had a fight at work today with Javier; almost got sent home.
Lemme think, anything else?
Janelle's birthday dinner was tonight, that was cool. Won't see Suzy for two weeks or so... but I plan to spend all weekend with her (if she wants to, that is.)

So many things to talk about.. Let's do it in reverse chronological order.
Thursday, I worked from 12 - 5. 5 rolls around, and Katie comes in to fountain. She tells me that she's had some really awesome day Tuesday. I had to do all the 5 o'clock stuff, so it took me a while to find out what happened, but basically: she's now going out with this guy, Mat; his nickname is 'Crash' (which, if you're a pilot, is an awesome handle; otherwise, it's still pretty cool). Same religion, her mom likes him, very cute (s'what she says, at least)... sounds great!! He skates, and might be applying for a job at our Sonic as well. Hmm....
Also, I got an email from Barbara that evening. It was like, "Yeah, this is my apt. number, my cell number, my address; don't call me at any of my old ones, 'cause I won't be there. Blah blah blah". I noted that it was addressed to like eight people, so I figured I wasn't really supposed to have gotten it, and that she was just using an old list that I was still on. So I emailed her back - "Um... hi, Barbara.
How're... things? Yean....". I didn't expect a reply, or if one was received, one that would make her earlier mistake clear. So Friday, I get an email back from her - "How could I forget one of my oldest and dearest friends?" WTF!! Did I miss something? So we IM'ed some, talked. It was fun. Told her about Suzy.
Friday, I was supposed to work 9 - C, but I went in about 6:30. It was cool, 'cause Katie and Chelsea were both there as well. I was *SO* hyper for the first few hours, then I got a headache and was tired, but finished strong.
Went to sleep at 2, woke up at like 7:30.
Went to Wal*Mart at 9 to see Suzy. Sat in my truck and read; 'bout 9:20, I noticed a large amount of walking and talking behind me - I looked in the mirror, and there were the Gary people all walking. I didn't see Suzy, so I went in, figuring I had missed her. Nope. She saw me as she walked in. We walked around for a while, talked. She had a letter for me. Said she wanted to "take it slow; do you understand?" LOL LOL LOL LOL. Yeah, that's hilarious. (Note: Suzy, if you ever read this, it's only so funny because of who and how I am.) Yeah, she'll have a weekend pass weekend after next (first weekened in November) - we don't know what's gonna go down, though. She's gonna call Sunday evening, and we'll talk then.
So all in all, life's been... interesting lately.

Holy crap!! She called. I was just sitting here, watching Tim teach Nov Star Wars (Decipher), and my phone started ringing. It was "Candy", which meant it wasn't mom, jarrod, work, or Suzy. I looked at the display - a number, and one I didn't recognize. It was Suzy calling from Gary!!!!
She's here okay; she's getting into her actual dorm tomorrow; we might see each other this weekend. She's not feeling sick anymore, though Jonathan is. And she needs a pair of flip-flops.
I don't know if I mentioned it, but she has one of my pillows as well. Which is really cool, 'cause when I get it back, it'll smell like her.

GALVESTON REDUX
Man. I'm tired. I'm also covered in bite marks.
See, Saturday night, I was supposed to go to Jarrod's to play d&d. I totally forgot - he told me Friday night, as I went to go see Kill Bill: vol. 1 (by myself, naturally) - he was the ticket-taking guy; I handed him my ticket, he says, "First theater on your right, we're playing tomorrow night; enjoy your show." LIke I said, had a work meeting Saturday morning, then work at 5. Got off at 10 or so. Totally forgot about d&d. So I came home, chilled, talked to Suzy (who might spell it Suzie - we're looking into that one), and Jarrod calls - "Dude, where are you?" "Huh?" "We're supposed to be playing tonight...." "Oh yeah.... I'll be there in a bit". So I drove over to his house, and he was still getting ready. I talked to Suzy some more, and we realized I had to go back to my house to get the Combat Matrix. She starts with "You should come to Galveston." I couldn't - d&d with Jarrod that night (although that was almost not a valid reason - Jarrod and I have a thing about ditching the other for girls - we encourage it - but Michael and Dana were there too, didn't want to do that to them as well), had to work Sunday, wouldn't know what to tell Mom. But we talked for a while (much to the annoyance of Jarrod, who, by that time, was ready to play - sorry Jarrod!!). We finally got down for some d&d... I made it home around 7, fell asleep.
Sunday, I woke up and went to see Transposing Shakespeare with Rose. It was a great play. Got home, had to go basically straight to work. While I was there, I realized I could go see her after work - off 'til Wednesday. So I waited, but she never called... tear. Got off work, went home... she finally called around 2 or 2:30. I told her that I wanted to come see her - she was in full agreement, so we decided I'd leave around 5 or so; she was going to go to sleep and call me when she woke up. I hung out - played some MvC 2, DDR MAX 2, other stuff; left at 5:30 or so. Got there without any real incident, but I did have some trouble on I45 between Houston and Galveston (just like last time). She hadn't called yet, so I went to the Wal-Mart and hung out in the parking lot. I called her around 11, and went over. She was at Ms Anne's house. I went over there, but there was some confusion about whether or not I could go in. So we sat on the stairs outside. She was feeling kind of sick - although it might have just been anxiety over everything that was about to happen (moving to San Marcos, etc). So we're talking, and it kind of devolved into... tickling. It was a lot of fun. And when I'd have both of her hands pinned, she'd bite me.
Eventually I was granted clearence to enter, and we slept together (actual sleeping, not sex or anything) in the living room for a while. It was the second best sleep I've had in like two or three years... (the first being last Saturday). Actually, I'm not sure which was better... but they were both awesome. Anyhoo, I had to run Jonathon, Chris, and Darcie (Chris's gf) over to Jonathon's house; did that, then came back. More tickling and biting ensued. Altogether, there was a great deal of that. Ms Anne eventually cae home, and we're pretty cool. I've got bite marks up and down my arms; there's some bruises on my right arm, and a major hickey on my neck. At one point, while we were on the stairs, she was biting my neck, and had me in kind of a vampiric embrace - very sexy. We talked, too - about what we'd do when she got here, what we'd been up to, that kind of thing. The best quote from the evening? Ms Anne (while we're making dinner): "You know, if you marry her, you'll have to do the cooking."
So, yeah, it was a lot of fun. And it took me almost 12 hours to get home. But that's another story. She's in town now, but I don't know when I'll hear from her - it's like 3 or 4 weeks 'til she can qualify for a weekend pass. Argh.

One week later: The Aftermath...
Yeah, so it's been a week since I've gotten back from Galveston. School's been... school. Work? Well, I worked that night after getting back, which was fun (=not fun).
I was fountaing; Freddie was cooking. I was telling him the story of my trip, including backstory, and I had to be loud, because (A) our respective positions and (B) I'm a loud person, *especially* when I'm hyper. However, Katie was kind of listening to it to. It wasn't until after we closed, and we were sitting outside, that I realized that the timing could be seen as... odd? non-coincidental? Like I was, as Freddie put it, "Trying to rub it in her face" or something like that. Wait. Backstory: So I kind of had a crush on Katie. I mean, I knew it wouldn't work out, for any number of reasons, the main ones being (A) she's 17, I'm 20 (3 years and a day older than her), (B) she's a strong Christian and, well, I'm definitely not (atheist, in case you were wondering), and (C) she likes Beau, and, of course, (D) I'm me. I mean, she's such a sweet girl, sooo nice, very pretty, but... no. That's why I never said anything to her - no real reason to. I did, however, tell a few people - ie just about everyone. So she figured it out... Thursday night. The Thursday night right before I left. (Apparently, I flirted with her a few times... but of course, as we know, I don't flirt intentionally - I don't know when I'm doing it, when someone else is doing it with me, and, most importantly, can't do it intentionally). So yeah. Then I came back, with this crazy crazy story, which I'm all hyper and excited about. I mean, that was the LAST thing on my mind when that whole thing happened, and when I was telling the story. I really just wasn't thinking about it. But later, I kind of realized that it might look pretty bad. So while Freddie and I were outside, I decided to go up to her and apologize. I... well, I rambled pretty bad. I started out okay, but it quickly degenerated into a random babble, and I have no idea what all I said. But I think she understood what I was trying to say, because we seem to be doing okay now.
I've been really energetic and hyper since Saturday, so I've played DDR every day 'til today. I was doing some hard stuff too - well, relatively speaking, since I was playing at Diversions, which only has a 4th mix plus. Thursday, Ray was there, and I showed off some of my mad skills - did Rhthym & Police on Maniac/Doubles. I went to play Friday as well. There was this girl sitting there; I think she was waiting for a friend or something. But she really threw me off - I kept screwing up pretty bad. Also, I guess I was pretty tired from the previous week. So I went to play Police Academy, and Suzy called. It was awesome - the first time we talked since Saturday. So I grabbed my phone and left real quickly, jumped in the back of my truck, and we talked for... fifteen minutes or so. Pretty cool. I played a little more after that - rejuvanated and all. Then I went to play Police Academy some more; it accidentally tripped itself... 237 times or so. So I used that and recorded all the high scores, because I have no life (at the moment, at least ;). Went home, fell asleep eventually. Meeting this morning, work tonight.
So Suzy called a lil' bit ago; we talked. It was... cool. Talked about earlier experiences... which, as I understand, you're not supposed to, or something like that. But I have *no* clue what's going on here - just playing it by ear... so we'll see. Although I will say this - most of the similarities we may have are definitely going to be on a very basic level.

Whoops. Didn't mean to end that post.
So, here's the short version: It's 2~3 am, Saturday, October 11; I'm on a beach in Galveston, Texas. There's a gorgeous full moon, and while there are some clouds, the stars are also out. In short, it's a beautiful night. The missing piece of the puzzle? Ms. Suzy Donaldson, who was standing next to me. We were walking in the surf, hand in hand. So I did something I've never done before - I turned to her, and kissed her. And she kissed me back. It was a beautiful, wonderful, perfect moment. It's quite easiliy the best moment I've had in the past 2 1/2 years.
Additional notes: We're going out now, and she'll be moving here in about a week.
And now, for your viewing pleasure:

I'll post the long version at a later date.

Well, this week was.. interesting. Government test Wednesday. I think it went okay. For some reason, I thought it was after school (7-10), but no, it was during class. So that's five hours I thought I would have to do my reading that I didn't. Oh well. Friday saw me take on Intro to Number Theory (Int) and Intro to Real Analysis (Ira). We'll see how those went. This weekend... sucked. Friday, I had to go mow Uncle Fred's right after school. It only took like two hours, because I had his kick-ass mower, and the grass wasn't 31/2 feet tall. Then I came back here and crashed for a bit, missed going to the play with Rose. SuXors. I woke up eventually, then worked on AoE. Saturday, I kind of lounged around all day - Jarrod and I went to Kinkos and made 20 bucks worth of copies. Worked that night; Katie and I closed fountain in about two minutes, which was pretty nice. Today, worked this morning for two hours - Cruz came in for me at noon - mowed the lawn, been napping and what not. 'Bout 9, I went by work to let Ricky borrow my Transformers DVD, and it was pretty cool. When I walked in, Kristen was all "Will!!" and came up and gave me a hug. Chelsea did the same thing - and it was quite unexpected, but awesome, coming from Chelsea. I stayed in there for a bit; talked to Chelsea about how we never work together (we work opposite nights this week, lol); and to Freddie about maybe going to see a movie this Friday, since we're both off. Then I went back to my truck, and there was a thing taped across the steering wheel - not the whole thing, just the horn part - it said "Polar Bear is the best!! :) <3 Chelsea" - the smiley face and heart were oriented corrently, not landscape like in that rendering, of course. That really just made my day. That kind of thing just doesn't happen to me that often. And both of them coming up and hugging me and being all excited to see me? Man, that's cool. Lost my check card, gonna have to go by the bank and do the whole cancel it and get a new one thing. Slight annoyance. Oh yeah, saw Underworld as well (by myself) - it's.... not that good. Better than the Hulk, but not something I'd see twice.
