No one's calling for me at the door

So I closed tonight with Mike and Susannah. Nothing terribly out of the ordinary. Lilie came by after we closed to hang out for a while. She usually does when Mike closes. It still feels so very, very right when we kiss, when we hold each other.

Yeah, so anyway...

they both left 'bout three. I was there a little longer, trying to figure out why we were (a) 40 dollars short and (b) eighty dollars overspent on food. I eventually figured out (a) - there was a bank that had fallen in the box of envelopes, that I hadn't counted. So I got that in there. As I was getting ready to do some inventory recounts, I could have sworn that I heard someone - a girl's voice - say my name in a, well, not calm manner. I couldn't tell if it was frightened, angry, irritated, or just loud. I'm not crazy! I heard it again slightly later, when I was finishing putting the paperwork together. It's not the first time I've heard things - when I used to open at Sonic, after 24 hours+ of no sleep, I'd hear voices. It was usually indistinct murmurs, though, nothing I could make out. So this was a little weird. I don't think it's a tired issue - I got a ton of sleep yesterday, and I've been pretty up lately, especially with the weather changing. Cold makes me hyper. So yeah, it was kind of weird.

Speaking of weird, Rose works at Domino's now. She never heard back from any of the waiting jobs she applied for, and was starting to get desperate. So yeah. She went through everything - application, interview, background check, JCS, and drug test within twenty four hours, did her orientation and paperwork today, and starts tomorrow. I mean, holy crap. Two days after her application/interview, she's coming in to work. I don't think it'll be *that* weird - I worked with Janelle at Sonic for a few months, and we got along okay, and Lilie and I don't have any problems working together. So we'll see how it goes.
