My Knee Hurts

I'm tired. Well, not really, except that my legs are a little tired.

Started school on Wednesday. That was fun. I walked to class - it's somewhere between forty and sixty minutes from here to my first class at 10 am. I took my SV/AV 20 with a double handful of mp3s on it. I plan on doing this at least semi-regularly. It's cool 'cause I can change the songs on my thing fairly quickly and easily (in theory at least; see below). I might post some playlists on another page. So I got to class without incident; didn't even have any trouble finding the place.

My first class is Chem I, in a big lecture hall type thing. Fun. The teacher seems kind of motherly, with no life. I don't anticipate any major trouble in that class. I saw Dustin Bray in there, and said 'hey'. I also saw some other guy - I don't remember his name; he was one of my trombones. No one else, though, and didn't meet anybody. The seats were very comfortable, which means either they're bigger than UT, or my ass is smaller. As I was leaving, I saw Nicky. She was looking for her class, which was in this building, but the room number was listed as "ARR". Neither of us had any clue what that meant, and I could only hang around for a little bit before I had to leave for my next class - Intro to Fine Arts.

Intro to Fine Arts will be a crappy class. I hate 'fine arts'. I did play trombone for like 7 years, but that's about it. I don't care for 'art' - painted pictures and sculptures and what-not, and classical music is cool, but not something I like to analyze. I have to attend 4 art things, and luckily, I have a secret weapon - Katie and Rose. That'll be fun. Speaking of Katie, I ran into her dad, who apparently works in the music department, as I was leaving. How odd. We talked for a bit, mainly about the girls.

Had half an hour between FA and my next class, C/C++, so I decided to go over to the Lair and squeeze in a game of DDR. They moved it out of the hallway, back downstairs right outside of the Lair (which they totally redid). Derrick was there, and he and some other guy each did one more song in a nonstop course. I went up and did a few songs - Rythym & Police, My Summer Love, and Max 300 (failed). I had to leave pretty quickly for my next class, which I was late to anyway.

That class, C/C++, seems okay. I have to learn C++, but that seems the core focus of the class. I already understand command structures, logic branches, and several types of data structures, so I should be fine. I have to learn some Linux as well, so that'll be cool - I've been meaning to learn that anyway. Left there and went to my next class, Prob & Stat, in the same building. The teacher there is a little... absentminded. And has an... interesting teaching style.

With classes done and no work that day, I got another game of DDR in. Singles - Rythym & Police, A - Oni Mix, and something else. Then I walked home. I was pretty tired after all that walking, so I kinda took a nap.

Found out that Dragon's Lair is opening a shop here by Zookyas, so Michael and I went and checked it out. They're not officially open yet, though they're setting up. Didn't do much else Wednesday, except got the 12th ending on Chrono Trigger and unlocked everything. So that's good.

Worked today 12 - 5; Dave was an ass, as usual. Not much else happened, although the steamer that Darron fixed is working great now, and he might fix the fryer pump tomorrow. That'd be fairly cool. Scott and Pedro were the five o'clock cooks, so I wasn't out of there until six or so. Got home and talked to Fred, and eventually drove over there to take him up to Laurin's for the weekend. Lucky bastard. I fell while carrying his TV (he brought two bags and his TV, 'cause Laurin doesn't have one). Didn't break it though, 'cause I'm awesome. Went and saw Katie and Rose. I gotta go, so I may post more later.
