Sometimes....

So I went and played DDR last night. It felt good - my feet hurt from the plastic pads. I haven't played long enough to get foot pain in a while. I had quite a sweat going as well. There were quite a bunch of new(er) people there as well, which made me feel pretty good - without growth, any organism soon dies. There was also another oddity - a guy playing doubles barefoot. Holy crap!! He was playing on the fifth mix machine; didn't seem too intent - two songs on standard, just kind of messing around, spinning and what-not. For his third song, he did Can't Stop Falling in Love (Speed Mix), and max-combo'ed it, with a hefty number of Perfects. Damn. I mean, I've max combo'ed it as well, but I gather this wasn't his first time or anything like that. That's probably the first time I've seen someone else better than me at doubles in person. Came home, only to find that Aunt Ann had left her laptop here for me to fix, by Monday morning if at all possible. Except I had to work Sunday, which meant the only real time I could do it was Sunday night, when I was supposed to be in Austin, watching movies all night with Katie.

ARGH.

I called Katie before heading into work today to let her know what's up. Haven't heard back from her, which is nothing new - she's called me, um, twice I think. I should just tell her and get it over with.

But I won't. We all know that.
