It's Kinda Funny

We played D&D tonight. Just got home from it, in fact. It was a fairly productive session - the party traveled to Garath for the first time, and will soon begin a series of quests therein. Pictures to follow soon, but I didn't take many this time around.

My phone is a major hoss. I dropped it from the balcony right in front of Matt & Luke's apartment to the concrete below. They live on the third floor. The case didn't suffer any damage, and after some minor tinkering (a Magic card now forms an integral part of my cell phone), it's working just fine. Yes, it survived a three story fall and is working fine. That's so awesome.

Rose told me today that Katie isn't working at Red Roof anymore. Apparently, she was training her replacement, who was gradually going to ease into her shift over the next two and a half weeks. But the boss called her today and told her something to the effect that the new girl was going to work by herself tonight, and if everything went smoothly, she'd just take over the shift (Monday and Wednesday - Saturday). I hope she's okay; she should be; she told me she was contemplating quitting early anyway, but had decided against it.

The funny thing, though, is that it's not that difficult for my mind to construct a bizarre scenario where this is just a ploy for Katie to lessen the amount of time she has to deal with me. Like, this whole thing is just made up so I'll stop stopping by Red Roof and hanging out with her. To clarify, I certainly don't believe it, but it's easy to imagine.
